Yesterday my friend
Paige and I spent four hours thrifting. To our delight, there was so much to offer! We picked through each aisle searching for gold. I found a few jewels, including a vintage Roberto Vianni for Neiman's skirt, a basic turtleneck, and a floor-lenth plaid wool skirt, which sort of reminds me of substitute teachers, but it was just so cool I could hardly pass it up. How to wear it will be my next dilemma... I also found some cool brown woven booties. Oh, and a t-shirt that says "Professional cat aerobics trainer" with pictures of cats doing aerobics on it...I'm sorry I just couldn't help myself! I burst out laughing when I laid eyes on it, and with such a reaction I just had to pick it up. I mean, it's only a dollar, right? It could come in handy. Somehow.... anyway, I would like to know where those people who find vintage Dior pantsuits and Chanel clutches go thrifting, and can I come? My local salvation army may have some neat 80's dresses with ridiculous poofy sleeves that reminded me of a Lady Gaga costume, but generally nothing too spectacular.
We then went to Olga's for smoothies to suffice our cravings and quench our thirst, ah yes, and exchange Christmas gifts! Over a month late, but better late than never, even though our birthdays will be coming up sooner than Christmas had passed...
Paige made me an adorable shirt with sewn on turquoise sequins as "fire" coming out of a little alien-dragon thing all on a Hanes white v-neck. She hopes to make them and sell them, which I hope she does because they are just so cool! I know at least I would want to buy a few...
you spelled aisle wrong gina.
